Established in 2015, Christie Fencing is a family-run business based in Ballater, Aberdeenshire. It started as a farm diversification after Ian, the owner, began fencing at the family farms in Ballater and Alford.
Ian and his wife, Rachel, run a mixed-livestock farm comprising approximately 2700 acres between two farms in Deeside and began to learn about different specifications of agricultural and garden fences after undertaking work for the landlords of the Inchmarnoch estate, where the main family farm of Ballaterach is situated. From here, he began small jobs for farmers in Aberdeenshire but has since won contracts for large-scale projects such as the AWPR (Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route), Inverness Western Link Route and various solar farm sites as far away as Swansea in Wales and Worcestershire/Herefordshire in England. |
